Action fills and thrills a new queue of games on greenlight.

The same old story is up and about rattling cages and begging for attention. The games up for being voted on for the latest queue on Greenlight are demanding attention. So, I shall do just that. I’m covering the games of July 15 to 17, 2016. Worth noting is that I use my opinion to judge these games, so not every game will be included. I try to give all games a fair chance to impress me.

Rules:

  • Games must look ready for Greenlight.
  • Games need to have an understandable English translation to be included.
  • Games must have a trailer.
  • Finally, reposted games to Greenlight that I’ve talked about in previous posts, will not be included.

 

Okay, enough of the madcap silly introductions. It’s time for the Games:

 

Title: Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

Genre: Strategy, Simulation

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: Gather your medieval army and send them flaying against other armies to see what will happen.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It seems a bit silly but fun to play around with.

Title: Kobra Kombat

Genre: Arcade

Art Style: 2D Pixel Top Down World

Synopsis: Inspired by classic arena first person shooters, this is an online and local co-op fight amongst snakes.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It has a bit of an interesting look to it. Definitely different.

Title: Nuclear Power Plant Simulator

Genre: Simulation, Puzzle

Art Style: 3D First Person Perspective World

Synopsis: It’s your first day working at the nuclear power plant, you task is simple produce the power required to power the area around the plant. Don’t mess up and get fired.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It could be a challenging little game.

Title: Cornflakes

Genre: Shooter

Art Style: 2D Pixel First Person Perspective

Synopsis: In 2101 people have moved away from cities to nests, where corn-flake production is the thing that keeps everything running. Flapper the symbol of cornflakes is slowly taking over threatening everything with its hyper intelligence.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: A very odd looking game.

Title: Beyond Eden

Genre: Visual Novel

Art Style: 2D Hand Drawn World

Synopsis: Set in the Victorian era, you play as Alex a man who is set on ruining a Baron’s family after being hired by them. Your choices as you play through will help shape how things go.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It isn’t for me.

Title: Kloppers

Genre: Arcade

Art Style: 2D Pixel Top Down World

Synopsis: A multiplayer game where you’re fighting against your friends while trying to survive the ever dissolving platform that you stand on.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks like it has some potential.

Title: Thirst

Genre: Shooter

Art Style: 3D First Person Virtual Reality Perspective

Synopsis: You are aboard the last water train heading for civilization, you must defend it with all your might.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It could be good, and at least it isn’t your typical VR style game.

Title: Escape From Nazi Labs

Genre: RPG, Shooter, Arcade, Horror

Art Style: 2D Top Down Perspective

Synopsis: A rogue like game with randomly generated levels where you try to escape from Nazi labs to freedom.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: Visually it doesn’t look great, but it also seems interesting.

Title: Zissi’s Island

Genre: Platformer

Art Style: 3D Third Person Perspective

Synopsis: Zissi travels to the far away island where her grandmother lives, only she forgot to get her a present. She must gather pearls to create a pearl necklace for her grandmother.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks like a good game for kids to play.

Title: Energy Invasion

Genre: Arcade, Puzzle

Art Style: 2D Levels

Synopsis: Inspired by the arcade game Breakout, in which you use missiles to break blocks as you try to keep the ball from falling past you.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: Seems like a decent time waster.

Title: Marty Thinks 4th Dimensionally

Genre: Platformer, Puzzle

Art Style: 3D Third Person Perspective World

Synopsis: You play as MRT-I who has awoken to find his creator long passed. He continually fills out the last commands of his creator until one day he decides to find a more fulfilling life by setting out in search of adventure.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: A cute looking game that reminds me a bit of Wall-E.

Title: Warriors of Vilvatikta

Genre: RPG

Art Style: 2D Pixel Side Scroller

Synopsis: Inspired by Indonesian history, you play as Kamandanu a blacksmith who creates weapons for the newly emerged Kingdom of Singhasari empire. But Kamandanu has been cast out by his family, so he seeks to train and learn from an uncle living far away.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks interesting.

Title: Fighting Drill

Genre: Fighting, Arcade

Art Style: 2D Pixel Arena

Synopsis: A fighting game that has you fighting as a drill against other drills.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: Uh, it is a bit weird but maybe it’s good.

Title: The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt

Genre: Strategy, Simulation

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: Become a pirate during the golden age of piracy in the Caribbean as you try to become the pirate crimson king of the Antilles. This game will be free to play.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks pretty solid in the trailer.

Title: Intermage

Genre: RPG, Arcade

Art Style: 2D Pixel Top Down World

Synopsis: The world is yours to explore and build up, as you search for the scroll of the Order of Ancient Magicians. That scroll will allow you to explore time and space, as well as alternate realities but darkness and evil is in every corner waiting for its chance to take over.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks good and reminds me a bit of the early Legend of Zelda games.
