A new fighting voting queue of steam greenlight games.

The gods of Steam Greenlight have come thundering down in order to oversee a new voting queue that seeks the public’s attention span. It’s simple shocking to have such people overseeing something so simple. Anyway enough with the bad jokes and on with the actual posting of video games that caught my attention.

This blog post will cover the games of June 3 to 5, 2016 and is made entirely from my opinion. Sadly, games that don’t catch my attention for whatever reason won’t be included. This post is also not to be taken as some definitive list of the best of Greenlight, it’s simply a post pointing out potentially interesting games.

Rules:

  • If there is no trailer for a game, it will not be included.
  • There must be an understandable English translation for me to write about the games.
  • Games that get reposted to Greenlight that I have mentioned in previous blog posts; will not be included.
  • Finally, games must look ready for Greenlight for me to include them.

 

Now to the godly list of Games or rather just one overseen by them while they weren’t really paying attention:

 

Title: Symmetry

Genre: Strategy, Simulation, Horror, Puzzle

Art Style: 3D Low Poly World

Synopsis: A spaceship has landed on an abandoned planet. Quickly the crew discovers that things are very wrong here and must figure out how to survive in this place.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: The trailer looks gorgeous but doesn’t show game play.

Title: NITE Team 4

Genre: Strategy, Simulation, RPG

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: In this game you play as an agent for NITE Team 4 a hacking unit that must work with agents in the field to get through their missions.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks pretty interesting in the trailer, and there is a demo to see how things play out which is good.

Title: Turbo City Racing

Genre: Racing

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: A racing game with a variety of tracks and cars to race around in against AI, but you can also take on a single player missions aimed at achieving a certain goal. This game is crowd funding on Indiegogo.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks awfully slick in the trailer, hopefully it lives up to it.

Title: DrumKit VR

Genre: Simulation, Music

Art Style: 3D VR World

Synopsis: Play a drum set in virtual reality and not have to deal with having an actual drum set.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It might be a good learning tool for those that want to get into drumming without all the mess. It isn’t for me.

Title: Security Hole

Genre: Puzzle

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: In this puzzle game you must use spacial awareness to rotate a puzzle brick through a hole that has a specific shape.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It is a fairly simple game, but could be fun.

Title: Disunity

Genre: Strategy

Art Style: 2D Top Down World

Synopsis: A game where you build a fleet of spaceships, explore a galaxy taking on any comers who get in your way.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks pretty good and fun.

Title: Orbital

Genre: Puzzle, Arcade

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: You get to guide your planet through its orbital around a star, but you must be careful as there will always be pesky things popping up to block you.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: While it has my interest it also looks like it could get repetitive quickly.

Title: Lithium City

Genre: Shooter

Art Style: 3D Isometric Neon World

Synopsis: You are a young woman lost in the world but taken in by a mentor who sends you out on missions to destroy ruthless battle droids.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It looks slick and pretty solid.

Title: Bohemian Killing

Genre: Adventure

Art Style: 3D First Person Perspective World

Synopsis: You are accused of a killing in a steampunk version of Paris, how far will you go to exonerate yourself.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: An intriguing concept for a game.

Title: Discovering Space 2

Genre: Simulation

Art Style: 3D First Person Perspective World

Synopsis: A game all about exploring the vastness of space with no combat, just flying and exploring.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: A calm looking game.

Title: Bank Limit : Advanced Battle Racing

Genre: Racing, Shooter

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: A hover racing game where you can take out your opponents with bullets as you fly around the race tracks at very high speeds.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: Simple yet fun looking.

Title: Dirt Bike Insanity

Genre: Racing, Simulation, Sports

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: Race dirt bikes across a variety of courses to see if you can be the best.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: The game does look a bit dated in the trailer with muddy graphics.

Title: Combo War!!!

Genre: Arcade, Shooter

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: An arcade shooter where you’re blasting away at enemies as they do the same to you.

Thoughts/Opinion of the Game: It has a very colorful look to it, though the game still looks very rough.
