Kickstarting our way through a voting queue of games on greenlight.

And now to steamroll a new queue of the games on Greenlight that want your attention and votes. This list is for the games of February 13 to 15, 2016 or any games caught in my queue from before then.

This post is created from my opinion, which may result in some games worth mentioning not getting that mention. I try to give every game a fair chance to impress me and be included. This post will also be out of date shortly as games come and go quickly from Greenlight.

Rules:

  • Games must have – a trailer, and an English translation.
  • Games must look ready for Greenlight.
  • Reposted games to Greenlight that I’ve previously talked about

Now welcome to the fight of Games:

Title: Need to Know

Synopsis: You are an agent for an intelligence agency who are tasked with rooting out extremist across the country by searching through there emails, phone conversations, and whatever you can dig up on them as you try to figure out if they’re good or bad. This game is crowd funding on Kickstarter.

Opinion: An interesting dilemma of a game that potentially can give a decent perspective on what’s involved in intelligence agencies and what they deal with but made a bit more fun for games.

Title: The Works of Mercy

Genre: Horror

Synopsis: You are stuck in a pyscological thriller where you are being ordered around to kill people or you potentially might lose your wife and daughter. The man on the telephone keeps ordering you go deeper and commit more crimes for him. This game is crowd funding on Kickstarter.

Opinion: A troubling game, where I would probably try and do the right thing only to find that I don’t have much choice.

Trailer:

Title: Behind You

Genre: Horror

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: You play as Jake Lawrence a man with a daughter who has gone missing after a subway crash. Now he must decode what’s happened if he wants any hope of finding his daughter.

Opinion: The trailer didn’t sell me on the game.

Trailer:

Title: Feudal Wars

Genre: Strategy

Art Style: 2D Isometric World

Synopsis: A medieval real time strategy game like those that came out in the 1990’s. You raise a town leading it from its early stages to becoming bigger and bigger while defending it from attackers. This game will be free to play and is crowd funding on Kickstarter.

Opinion: It does remind me a lot of Age of Empires which is a good thing for those looking to get back to those games.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Metris Soccer

Genre: Sports

Art Style: 3D World

Synopsis: A street soccer game inspired by games like FIFA Street, where you play in a small area with four versus four action.

Opinion: It looks pretty good for a game that’s so far in alpha state. The AI might need to be more aggressive but that can be worked on.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: WizardCraft

Genre: Strategy, RPG

Art Style: 2D Top Down World

Synopsis: You have been tasked with building a town and defending it from rogue dragons, wizards, and mercenaries who rather you didn’t build anything nice. Settle the land and wipe out your enemies.

Title: PataNoir

Title: The Big Elk

Genre: RPG, Shooter, Strategy

Opinion: Simple but cute in a way.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Bear Slayer

Genre: Platformer

Art Style: 2D Side Scroller

Synopsis: A one button platformer where you’re worried about keeping up momentum and moving forward as quickly as you can.

Opinion: It isn’t for me.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Neon Hardcorps

Genre: Arcade, Shooter

Art Style: 2D Top Down World

Synopsis: A shooter inspired by the likes of Contra, Metal Slug, etc. It keeps things simple with six characters to choose from and a variety of layouts for them to equip.

Opinion: The greenlight page is a bit sparse, I want to know if there is a story to this game and the page doesn’t have that information.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Virtual-O

Genre: Sports, Simulation

Art Style: 3D First Person World

Synopsis: The whole idea behind “Orienteering” is that you’re given a map, a compass, some way points that you must find, and must rough it out in the woods trying to get through in as little time as possible.

Opinion: It looks like a tough game that has quite a challenge, but also needs a bit of work to make sure not everything doesn’t feel and look like the same environment over and over.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Cyberpunk Casanova

Genre: Visual Novel, Dating Sim

Art Style: 2D Hand Drawn

Synopsis: In the distant future the world is controlled by corporations, and you play as Enzo Bryson a 26 year old playboy with a knack for finding bad situations. His parents tired of his ways strip him off his accounts until they return in 30 days. But they underestimate him and his happy go lucky ways and his ability to find ways to get himself in trouble, potentially leading to his death. This game is crowd funding on Kickstarter.

Opinion: The dialogue in the trailer all seemed a bit cliche, overused, and predictable.

Title: A Place for the Unwilling

Synopsis: You as a trader must survive in this open world game by traveling around the city selling goods and aquiring goods to sell at a good price. Find deals in the newspaper and wandering the city to sell your wares. The deeper into the city you go though, the more you find this place is not kind and that there are some who would like to destroy it all. This game is crowd funding on Kickstarter.

Opinion: The art looks great, I love the feeling of loneliness and creepiness that it gives off.

Synopsis: You play as little red riding hood who was nearby when a village became possessed by evil. She ran away to the mountains only to find the Dark Lord Assrabbit who possess her with evil as well, but with this she can fight the other possessions.

Opinion: A bizarre, yet has some potential type of game. It needs some work, but worth looking in on down the road to see what’s happened.

Trailer:

(Greenlight Page)

Title: Ant-gravity: Tiny’s Adventure

Genre: Platformer, Puzzle

Art Style: 2D Side Scroller

Synopsis: You play as Tiny, an ant who has gained control over gravity and must use it to collect candy so that he can explore the world, and the levels that have many traps and potential deaths waiting for him.

Opinion: The gravity switch in the trailer is a bit much, so I caution anyone watching with a weak stomach it probably won’t help.
