Nintendo’s Annual E3 2015 Direct Video

Nintendo ever the company to do things a bit differently held its annual Nintendo E3 direct, which is just a prerecorded video. Still it’s exciting times to see what they have in store.

In usual fashion Nintendo gets their conference started unusually, with puppets that turn into Star Fox characters. Which leads straight to the first game Star Fox Zero which is due out Holiday 2015. They want the ships your flying to feel like a plane would fly. And are trying to take advantage of the dual screens of the Wii U, with the gamepad screen showing off a cockpit view. The TV still shows your arwing in the third person. The arwing can also transform into various vehicles with a press of one of three buttons, since firing only requires one button.

Nintendo wants games to feel like a transformation, in that they continue to evolve their game franchises. This extends to games like Super Mario Maker where Nintendo turns the creation tools for the classic platformer over to you.

The Amiibo machine continues to march on with new ones coming and for more games. Skylanders Superchargers is mentioned with a Donkey Kong character and his vehicle along with Bowser and his vehicle. These characters can switch between being Amiibo figurines and Skylanders figurines with a switch at the base.

Next up is The Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes a multiplayer 3DS Legend of Zelda game, where you go through dungeons with your friends. The game has special outfits that give power ups, things like a big bomb outfit that will allow you to throw a big bomb. The game also has a single player, but still uses the three hero system. Multiple Links to save the day.

Hyrule Warriors: Legends was previously announced for the 3DS but today they’re talking about some of the content that will be in the game. More maps, and more characters as well as bringing stuff over from the Wii U version. It will be coming out in the first quarter of 2016.

The latest in the Metroid Prine series is coming to the 3DS, Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It to is a multiplayer co-op game. Included with the game is one of the games seen at the Nintendo World Championship 2015, which was just called Blastball at the time. It’s titled Metroid Prime Blastball. Both games are coming in 2016.

Fire Emblem Fates is as strategy action packed as the previous games. With two storylines to play through and a kingdom in the balance. It also is planned for a 2016 release on the 3DS.

Atlus brings its typical grace and crazy insanity to Genei Ibun Roku #FE, which is not its official title.  It looks like a Japanese RPG, but they didn’t show gameplay so its all flashy visuals that looked really nice.

With epic in mind Xenoblades Chronicles X is ridiculous and an action packed RPG. Sadly its only a quick tease trailer of the game for Wii U. Though it is coming out December 4 2015.

Desinging homes may never be the same once its done in Animal Crossing. That is exactly what Nintendo is doing with the 3DS game Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer. You get to set up everyone else home this time instead of your own. Sadly this means you world for Tom Nook and his evil empire. You can get your design on, when the game comes out September 25, 2015.

Animal Crossing is not done though with an Amiibo version coming to the Wii U as a board game. It plays out like your typical board game, roll the dice, your figure moves and then stuff happens both good and bad. It’s  a holiday 2015 release and its called Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival.

The woolly world of Yoshi is still far far too cute. The game Yoshi’s Woolly World will be released on October 16 2015.

Level 5 developers of many RPG games are making a new 3DS game titled Yo Kai Watch. You must find the hidden Yo Kai and befriend them to help you fight evil.

Mario worlds have collided, which has put two Mario’s in the same game! 3D and Paper Mario character are all around and they don’t like each other much, at least Bowser doesn’t. Mario & Luigi Paper Jam is coming to the 3DS in the spring of 2016.

Tennis is back in Mario’s world, not that it ever really left, but still a new Mario Tennis game is happening titled Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. It will be a holiday 2015 release for the Wii U.

Now we get to hear about how Super Mario Maker happened. It came around because they were making so many side scrolling games that they made a tool to build levels. Then they released that if they made it fun to use that potentially it could be released to the public. And if you have Amiibo and tape them into the game, with mystery mushrooms you can make Mario turn into that character for the level.

That’s it for the Nintendo E3 Direst.
