Nintendo Direct April 2013 Edition; The Legend of Zelda Link to the Past Sequel Announced

Nintendo has released its latest direct to consumers Nintendo Direct video. Mostly continuing the year of Luigi.

Kicking things off is Mario & Luigi’s: Dream Team for the 3DS, as Nintendo shows off much more of the story this time. Luigi has some powerful dreams. however only when he sleeps on certain magical stones, which can’t be comfortable. The game will be released on August 11th 2013.

Mario Golf: World Tour for the 3DS is the next game to get some loving attention. It will allow player to play against one another across the world.

Mario Party which wasn’t at the last Nintendo Direct will be coming to the 3DS. It will be coming winter 2013.

New Super Luigi U the DLC for New Super Mario U which will feature timed levels of only 100 seconds is due out on the Wii U summer 2013.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is the next title up, it will have levels that have a lot of transitioning backgrounds where you jump from area to area. Nintendo has also played with the difficulty a bit because handheld gamers tend to play in shorter bursts. It will be coming out May 24th 2013.

Yoshi is back to his or is it her? ways exploring worlds with baby Mario on it’s(?) back. The new Yoshi’s Island will be a 3DS title that will be coming soon.

Moving onto Mario & Donkey Kong: Mini’s on the Move, which is a downloadable title only. It will feature over 180 stages and player created stages. It will be released on May 9th 2013.

Talking about the Wii U for a little bit, it will now be able to receive updates automatically. Virtual Console titles will be coming out next week and several titles will of course be available for purchase, like say Earthbound, the famous game that many gamers want a sequel to. N64 games will be coming to Virtual Console in the future.

Pikmen 3 has flying Pikmen?! Though they don’t have that great of a name, Winged Pikmen and the game is being releasing in a few months.

Nintendo confirms that Mother 2 aka Earthbound in the U.S. and Europe will be coming to the virtual console by the end of the year.

Game & Wario for the Wii U will be a crazy game coming out on June 23rd 2013 in the U.S.

Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins, which shows of the beginnings of Chase McCains police career and is due out very soon on April 21st 2013.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons will both be available soon May 30 2013 on the 3DS virtual console.

Bravely Default will be coming west for the 3DS but not until 2014 so most gamers will have to wait, along with the latest Professor Layton game, Professor Layton and  the Azran Legacy which will find its way west in 2014.

Nintendo also shows off some eShop games for the 3DS: The Starship Damery, Bugs Vs. Tanks, and Attack of the Friday Monsters: A Tokyo Story. All three look interesting in their own unique way.

Atlus has a lot of goodies for those that preorder Shin Megami Tensei IV; including a strategy guide and music CD. It will be coming out on July 16th 2013.

Last game up for the show is a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 where 3D plays an important part and Link can become a drawing on a wall. The game will be released during winter 2013.
