Nintendo announced a plethora of games in their latest Nintendo Direct video conference. And yes it really was a plethora all for the Wii U.
First up, they’re re-releasing The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on the Wii U. It will have HD visuals and Nintendo will addressing the series convention of beating dungeons in certain orders. Wind Waker is shooting for a fall 2013 release date.
Nintendo also has a strange crossover coming. Atlus the makers of Shin Megami Tensi series are working with them on Shin Megami Tensi X Fire Emblem. Not much has been revealed about it. It will be on the Wii U.
The team that was behind the adorable Kirby’s Epic Yarn is working on a new game. Yes, there will be yarn, only this time Yoshi is getting the treatment.
Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101 got new exciting trailers.
Monolith Soft, the creators behind Xenoblade Chronicles are working on a new crazy game that has something to do with mechs.
Oh yeah, Mario Kart and a new 3D Mario will be playable at this years E3.
There was some other small stuff announced, like Miiverse coming to smart phones this spring. A Wii Party sequel is being worked on. The spring firmware update is promising to speed up the operating system.
