GSC Game World is reportedly shutting it’s doors after owner Sergei Grigorovich decided to.
He posted the simple tweet in Russian that translated to,
“Not PR. GSC closed.”
This also means that GSC’s, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will not see the light of day. No word on if they will sell the rights to the franchise to someone else.
Founded in 1995, GSC Game World had a variety of PC games including Cossacks: European Wars, American Conquest, Alexander and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
2006 saw the departure of several of GSC veteran developers who went to found 4A Games, the group behind Metro 2033.
